Pastor Tom Alexander

Tom Alexander and his wife, Theresa, have been married for 32 years and have four children- Preston, Leslea, Stacey and Spencer. Theresa works as a Pediatric RN at Banner Desert Hospital.

For half of those years he was an Associate Pastor at Lake City Church, a large church in Madison, Wisconsin. In 1989 he and his family moved to San Jose, Costa Rica to attend language school. After finishing training they moved to Buenos Aires, Argentina where he taught in Seminario Biblico de Fe (Faith Bible Seminary) for ten years and pastored Comunidad Cristiana de Palomar, a church in the western suburbs of Buenos Aires.

Along with these years of experience he combines a varied educational experience including a BS in Natural Sciences from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, a degree in Christian Ministries from the Christian Life School of the Bible, Rockford, IL, and a Masters of Arts in Religion from the Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, in Deerfield, IL.

 

 

Associate Pastor Rod McCoy

Rod and JanelOn July 11, 1975 at a Young Life meeting in Santa Rosa, Ca., Rod responded to the Gospel and went on to serve with Young Life as a counselor and speaker. Janel was raised in a believing home and remembers responding more personally to Jesus at age 11. In June of 1978, Rod and Janel were married and following the call to vocational ministry, headed off to Bethel College and Seminary in St Paul, MN. where Rod earned a Bachelors in Bible and Theology and Janel a PHT (putting hubby through). After a couple years internship and seminary plus daughter #1, Sarah Grace; then 4 years in the Air Force and daughter #2, Lydia Faith; they joined Wycliffe Bible translators and worked toward degrees in linguistics. They went on to serve for a short time in Papua New Guinea and Vanuatu as Bible translators.

Over the next 20 years, Rod served as a youth, associate and executive pastor in three churches while adding daughters #3, Abigail Hope and #4, Bethany Joy and later 6 grand children to the tribe.

Through the years of study and service God has blessed by taking them to work on short term trips to, South Africa, Swaziland, Brazil, Slovakia, China and Mexico. After several years in the Pacific Northwest, Rod especially is happy to be in AZ for the sun, and both are blessed to be serving the family at Two Rivers Church.

 

 

Women’s Pastor Beverly McIntyre

Beverly and Bobby McIntyre have been married for 53 years. They have three grown children and seven grandchildren.

Beverly has served in a ministry capacity for over 40 years. She and her husband helped to plant a Native American church on the Pima Indian Reservation in the late 1960’s and early 70’s. In her twenties, Beverly served her local church as a youth pastor as well as in missions.

In 1988 Beverly and Bobby went on their first short term mission trip to the Philippines and were hooked on missions. Since that time they have traveled around the world sharing the love of Christ in third world nations. Beverly went five times during the Bosnian war to minister to the women there who had been abused, raped and imprisoned.

Beverly served on the staff of Word of Grace Church in Mesa, Arizona for nine years as the Women’s Pastor, as well as Singles and Prayer Pastor.

 

 

Awaken Pastor Lisa Montavon
Ages 18 – 30’s

Lisa and her husband Josh have been married a year and a half and met 9 years ago at Bethel School of Ministry in Redding, CA where they both attended.

Josh was Lisa’s crush but he really didn’t know she existed. They later met again in Arizona through Two Rivers Church. Josh is a lawyer for the Attorney General’s Office.

Lisa has always had a heart for ministry and received her BA in Youth Ministry and Psychology from Spring Arbor University in Michigan. Later she attended Bethel School of Ministry in Redding, California. There she also completed her teacher credential in order to start a career that made room for ministry. She later moved to Haiti after the 2010 Earth quake and opened a school in a refugee camp. In 2011 she moved to Arizona for a teaching position and shortly after started attending Two Rivers Church. Lisa has run the Awaken (College and Career) group for nearly the last 3 years and currently runs it with her husband.

 

 

Firestarters Pastor Jim Webber
Grades 7th – 12th

Jim Webber and his wife, Stacey, have been married for 4 years. Stacey currently works as an emergency room RN at St. Joseph’s Hospital and is also working on her Post-Master of Science in Nursing: Acute Care Nurse Practitioner With An Emphasis In Adult-Gerontology Certificate.

After growing up in Grapevine, Texas as a nice Catholic boy, Jim moved out to the desert to attend Arizona State University and graduate with honors with a B.S. in Finance in 2011. In 2010 he met Stacey who invited him to Two Rivers Church and the rest is history. 

In the years since, Jim was discipled by Pastor Tom Alexander, served as a leader for the youth and young adult groups, ran the children’s church ministry, and got involved with the worship ministry and now helps lead alongside his anointed wife, Stacey.

Jim worked in sales for a few years and completed a Master of Arts in Christian Studies: With an Emphasis in Pastoral Ministry at Grand Canyon University. Jim is excited to serve as the pastor for the youth group at Two Rivers Church. His hope and passion is to lead others into a deeper and impactful relationship with Jesus Christ.
